Melita, Malta’s fastest internet service provider, will be commemorating World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD) with a series of initiatives throughout May. Customers are encouraged to participate in an online competition and to learn more about the development of broadband in Malta and internationally through dedicated websites.

Customers may win free upgrades to superfast 100 Megabit internet speeds by taking part in a simple Facebook competition. Search Melita on Facebook, like the page, and take part in a simple puzzle competition. Every week Melita will give away free internet upgrades to a whopping 100 Megabit speed free of charge until the end of the year.
The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide. This year WTISD will be celebrated on Friday 16th May.
