Rotary Club Malta is holding another of its Hands-On Days this time at Dar Fejda at the Vinvenzo Bugeja Institute in Santa Venera on Saturday the 10th May 2014 where its volunteers will undertake a make-over of this home. Dar Fejda is a residential home for girls who are under a care order, court order or in voluntary care.
The objective of the Rotary Hands-On Days is to get Rotarians, families and friends, to go up to Dar Fejda for a fun day where we will spend energy, rather than money, making a difference
Like any similar institution, the fabric of the home is always in need of attention which, given restrictions of budgets, rarely manages to be given. The Rotary Hands-On Day will serve as a major boast to improve the conditions of the girls living in the home.
The jobs currently identified are:
the painting of one of the main corridors
the painting of wooden window apertures
maintenance in the garden
a number of other general maintenance jobs
Rotary Club Malta are seeking to gather a number of volunteers to perform these jobs and sponsors to provide materials.
