Local luxury goods purveyors Edwards Lowell Co Ltd recently donated a unique €600 watch for use in a charity raffle to raise money for children’s charity Beyond the Moon.
The watch, which is by luxury Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil, was engraved with the words ‘Beyond the Moon’ on the back, making it a truly unique timepiece. It was donated for use in a charity raffle held at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa’s recent Summer Fashion Party, which featured the last collection by Charles & Ron, as well as key pieces from the latest Raymond Weil collection.
The raffle, which was drawn by American Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, raised over €1,100 for Beyond the Moon, which is a charity dedicated to sending terminally-ill children on the holiday of their dreams. The watch was won by Mrs Roma Naudi and presented by Mrs Isabelle Lowell.
“We were very proud to form part of this event, especially as the money raised went to such a valuable cause,” says Edwards Lowell managing director Malcolm Lowell. “Beyond the Moon gives very ill children the chance of a break away from hospitals and medicine, if only for a while, and helps them to make happy memories with their families. It’s work is incredibly valuable.
“As a family company, we at Edwards Lowell are keen to associate with charities and events of this kind. It was a glamorous evening enjoyed by all at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa and we look forward to exciting future collaborations of this kind,” Mr Lowell adds.
