The spectacular ballet, La Bayadere, will be screening at Eden Cinemas on Sunday, 27th January at 4.00pm, direct from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. This exclusive event showcases the brilliant work of choreographer Marius Petipa, as well as the musical talents of Ludwig Minkus, performed by the State of Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. Creating an enchanted feel, the new scenic version by Yuri Grigorovich continues to bring the performance to life.
Taking place in mysterious India, Petipa’s beloved ballet tells the tragic love story of Solor and Nikiya. Through each motion, this magnificent performance takes the audience through a range of emotions, from love and affection, to betrayal and remorse.
Giving the audience that genuine feel of the Russian Opera House, Eden Cinemas compliment the performance with dimmed theatre lighting and enhanced sound. Shown on a large screen, each moment is beautifully captured and every movement relished.
