Beauty Resolutions

This year I’ve set no expectations other than to practice more self care and that includes my beauty routine which I’ve let go by the way side a bit.

Lots of water

I go through phases of being on top of my water intake but it really is the easiest and best way to take care of your skin… you can do the most expensive treatments going but if you’re dehydrated it will show and effect the efficacy of even the best skin care routines. It’s one of the best things you can do for yourself. If you’re not a fan of plain water, experiment with different fruits and flavourings! I love limes lately! Warm water and lemon is also amazing… I’m sure everyone knows the benefits of this combination but the glow from the skin after just a few days of this in the morning is amazing… it’s a hard habit to get in to, especially if you’re like me and love your coffee or tea, first thing! But if you can get used to it, you’re body and skin will thank you.

Maintaining a skin care regimen

Routine is key with many things, especially your skin care. Wether its simply making sure you remove your makeup as a new routine or having a full on step by step regimen.

Happy belly happy skin!

I’m not restricting myself this year(I never really do to be honest), especially of skin healthy foods. As I said above, water is your skins bestie and eating a diet rich in vitamins and minerals is also a good way to get your skin glowing from within. Oily fish like salmon, a rainbow of fruits and vegetable, dark chocolate, are all great for skin health!

Also back to my point about not being restrictive… it causes stress… on to my next point.

Try to stress less!

Easier said than done but too much stress is dangerous for our health and shows on our skin!

I like to meditate and exercise for stress and this year I’m trying not to care as much about pointless things… there are so many!
