Clinique is a tried and true classic brand that houses skin care and makeup and one I have used personally and in my professional kit since I can remember.
I felt like treating myself to some new products and have had my eye on a couple of things from Clinique for a while.
I have always been a fan of their high impact mascara and also wanted to try out the Moisture Surge CC cream and Air flash concealer.
My aim with makeup at the moment, is to achieve a minimal look while keeping my skin fresh looking and flawless.
Moisture Surge CC cream:
I read a lot of great reviews about this cream and I have to say it’s lived up to those. A small amount is all that’s needed and it gives a beautiful coverage, just enough to blur any blemishes or discolouration without masking your face. Skin looks even with a satin finish. It also has spf 30 so I know I have some protection in the winter sun. If you are looking for a very full coverage, this also works great under foundation.
Air Flash concealer:
Again, this is a product I’ve always heard rave reviews about so I don’t know what took me so long to try it. Beautiful light weight in texture and a medium coverage, this little gem is perfect for brightening under eye darkness and shadowy areas on the face. It’s best applied lightly and built up for desired coverage to avoid caking and I find I don’t need to set with powder. It is best when applied to a moisturised under eye for easier blending. The product is a handy pen with a brush at the end and product can be twisted out, so no mess or waste! The concealer has fast become my new staple product.
High Impact Mascara:
I have fallen back in love with this mascara, the reason I switch things up so much is because I work in the industry and am always trying new things but I always end up back to my high impact mascara from Clinique paired with the extended play mascara by MAC for my bottom lashes.
The mascara itself is very fuss free and the wand is a medium soft brush, it’s what I call a traditional no frills product that just does the job perfectly. It’s excellent for volume and if a couple of coats are applied, can build up nice length. It doesn’t leave my lashes crunchy, rather feeling conditioned and is easy to remove. Top marks!
All three of these products are my daily routine products and will definitely be repurchased. The air flash concealer will also be making its way in to my professional kit, that proves how much I love it.
