Carmen Wood started painting 2 and a half years ago when her children gave her an easel and an acrylic paint set as a Christmas present. ” decided to try painting and haven’t stopped since. l’ve also painted using Watercolours, Oils and Waterbased Oils. l also like to draw in pencil and do a lot of Pen and Ink drawings.”
There are 4 artists which inspire me.. Alphonso Dunn (for pen and ink), Joanne Boon Thomas for Watercolours and Bob Ross and Marion Dutton for acrylic and oil paintings.
Painting and drawing relaxes me. It reduces stress.
l like to do architectural buildings mostly (pen and ink) and exhibited my first work at Mellieha at the Art Club 2000.
At the moment l am doing pen and ink drawings (sometimes add watercolour to them) and acrylic painting. l usually find it’s better to paint in the evening, but on weekend usually start in the morning.
l just have 1 coffee at home and that’s before l go to bed. During the day l drink tea (many mugs) and if l go out l drink capucchino.
Most Sundays l cook and then paint or draw.
Hmmm if I won a million euros.. first l would help my children in whatever they needed then buy a small house and have a studio.. Go to Australia for a holiday and probably would go to Tuscany to draw or paint there.
Favourite place to holiday.. l think it would be Canada.
