Fireworks are an important cultural part of Maltese life celebrted annually at the Malta International Fireworks Festival 2018 – which this year starts on the April 21, 2018 in Xewkija, Gozo followed by another event on the April 27, 2018 in Marsaxlokk and the then grand finale will take place in Valetta, the 2018 European capital town of culture, on April, 30 of 2018.
The firework events will come with various themed extras like mouth-watering delicacies through traditional Maltese cuisine and drinks, that you can enjoy in Xewkija. The fireworks in Marsaxlokk are accompanied with colourful decorations and local live bands – dedicated to Madonna ta’ Pompei.
The grand finale fireworks in Valletta will be fired of from floating boats. The whole show will be synchronised to music and live-singers performing on a floating stage in the Grand Harbour.
