I was recently home in Dublin visiting family and of course I had to make a trip to Pennys (Primark)
I’m always amazed, every time I get home, to see that they have expanded in some new way or another and the beauty section just keeps getting better and better!
From the Primark own brand to everyday high street makeup, they even have makeup artist supplies!
I packed very lightly and didn’t bring much makeup or skin care with me so I needed to get a few bits to tie me over on my holiday…. below is what I found and am really impressed with.
Some of the brands can be found in most pharmacies in Malta but if you are planning a trip somewhere that has a Primark, put their beauty section on your to do list!
Alex Steinherr and Primark maximum moisturiser
Not going to lie, at €6, I wasn’t expecting a miracle moisturiser but I seen this new collaboration with Alex Steinherr, a skin care expert, being promoted a lot and was intrigued. I have to say, I think the moisturiser is brilliant! It hydrated with zero greasiness (common with intense hydration products) and is the perfect base for makeup in my opinion. It’s buildable and great for thirsty skin. Absolutely love as a day time moisturiser and hoping this will take me through summer with my spf as it’s so light and comfortable.
Primark foundation blending brush 102
This is a great multi-tasker! It seamlessly buffs in foundation, concealer and even blush… I think it was about €3!
Rimmel maxi blush – third base
Such a fresh, gorgeous peachy spring summer shade which I think would work on anyone and great value under €5 for a maxi size product.
Catrice liquid pen
I’m always weary of pens as it’s hard to find a good one that’s easy enough to use without getting uneven application, I love a gel liner but find that pens are just so much handier (if they are good)
I’m really impressed with the catrice one, it’s the right amount of inky and glides on really nicely without dragging, so it will be staying in my makeup bag.
Delighted with myself picking these up all for under €20!
