Calling all indie film lovers: tickets for the Kinemastik Short Film Festival next week are now out!
Held at the Herbert Ganado Gardens, next week’s edition marks the tenth in a series of festivals which hosts nights of open-air independent film screenings. The festival then culminates in a two-night international film festival, running from July 20th up until the 27th.
Participants can attend screenings of locally and foreign produced works as well as workshops and master classes given by international film makers and professionals. For this year’s edition, Kinemastik, supported by the Malta Arts Fund, has lined up a varied programme of events, including heart-to-heart with the Deputy director of Sheffield Docs, Charlie Phillips, who will be presenting a number of short documentaries specially curated for Kinemastik Short Film Festival, and a screening of the much-anticipated Alejandro Jodorowsky film, titled La Danza de la Realidad. Kids also have a little festival of their own to look forward to on the first day!
Block tickets for the week-long festival are at €15 each, but if you’d like just a taste of indie, tickets are at €5 per event.
