Halloween is creeping up on us, pun intended!
An ancient tradition that originates from the Celts known as Samhain or in Gaelic Oíche samhaina.
It’s become more popular over the years in Malta and just as trick or treating started to kick off, we find ourselves still in a pandemic. For obvious reason, traditional trick or treating is not going to be safe, so here are a few ideas to celebrate at home.
My son is obsessed with Halloween and all things scary and he’s only two!! So we will definitely be having a little party for him.

At home trick or treating
I know, sounds weird but I’m going to have my husband as well as my mam and sister stand behind the doors in our home and let Conor knock so they can open and give him some treats! I read this ages ago and the idea stuck with me, I think it’s a great alternative… but of a laugh for the adults too!

Last but not least – Tell ghost stories!
A given but a great tradition for everyone to huddle up at the end of the night telling stories over some hot chocolate… bonus to have a fire lighting but it will probably still be too hot for a fire, so I love the YouTube fireplace screen saver to get the effect!
