Hard Rock Cafe Malta and Inspire join forces to give children a musical experience of a lifetime
For children, summer is typically associated with fun times. Parents however prefer to use this time not only to provide their children with a well-deserved break but also with educational fun that will make a difference to their future.
This year the Inspire summer school – which caters for children of different abilities – has teamed up with Hard Rock Cafe Malta, to provide children with a summer experience of a lifetime. Every week, starting this week, children attending the summer school will be treated to a music session with a difference.
Local celebrities will be giving children attending the Inspire Summer School, a music session that they are bound to remember for the rest of their lives.
“The idea is to expose children to music in a way that will leave an impact. Inspire`s summer school embraces children of different abilities and this fits perfectly with Hard Rock`s motto – LOVE ALL SERVE ALL, ALL IS ONE” said Adolf Vella Marketing Manager for Hard Rock Cafe Malta. “A special thanks goes to all musicians for taking the time with such busy schedules”.
The music sessions will be kicked off by Ryan Abela, drummer for ‘Semplicment tat-Triq’ & For Strings Inn, followed by Errol of Airport Impressions and Claudia Faniello. Other musicians who have confirmed their participation throughout the summer are Mikaela Attard, Pawlu Borg Bonaci, Wayne Camilleri, Gianni Zammit and Ivan Grech of Winter Moods.
“Children are our future, and I dare not imagine a future without good music, so when approached about this opportunity I took it on immediately. I’m sure that I will get as much satisfaction as the children will have fun,” said Ryan Abela.
Later on this year, Hard Rock will also be holding a Hard Rock Collectors event during which an auction will be held and a specific Hard Rock pin will be launched with proceeds for Inspire. Furthermore, a group of children attending the summer school sessions will be delivering a 15 minute performance of their own, at Hard Rock Cafe Malta. More details of this event will be released closer to the date.
“Inspire is all about inclusion,” explained Nathan Farrugia, Inspire’s CEO, “and we all know that music has the power to bring people together, no matter their backgrounds or their abilities. Music harmonizes differences, it makes interaction feel natural and easy so this initiative sits seamlessly with what Inspire stands for, and we couldn’t be more grateful to the participating musicians and Hard Rock Café.”
