indulge.com.mt invites you to check out a short course from the variety on offer from institutions such as the MSA and MCAST…
Here at indulge.com.mt it has always been a source of enormous pride for us to showcase the undisputed breadth of talent in the worlds of the visual and performing arts of the Maltese islands.
Many an actor, singer, musician, painter, ceramicist, jewellery designer and more have graced our pages (and of course, Volume I of our Artists’ Directory); and if you aspire to join their ranks, the Malta Society of Arts (MSA) in Valletta offers myriad courses in the visual, applied, and performing arts within its premises – the beautifully-renovated Palazzo de La Salle. Starting from October, these courses will be taught by the society’s highly qualified tutors,

The visual arts section will see the start of courses in art for juniors adults and mature students; history of art, the Human Figure: Nude; Fine Arts Portraiture, clay modelling, art preparatory courses for O’ level students and the introduction of a new course in floral art that will be tutored by renowned floral artist Nadine Micallef-Grimaud, who will be giving lectures and workshops ranging from traditional floral arrangements to more abstract and modern designs

The performance art courses include new jazz composition and jazz improvisation courses by jazz saxophonist and composer Carlo Muscat. The performing arts courses will also include lessons in pianoforte, violin and the guitar, while the voice course will resume in October with a new tutor, known Maltese soprano Ruth Sammut Casingena, who will be bringing new energy to the voice classes at Palazzo de La Salle.
The MSA also offers many a short course in applied arts, which we wrote about in Part 1 of the article series
