A new workshop space has been opened in Lija to teach sewing and crafts to adults and teens, offering classes on “pimping’ of existing clothes, creating a dress in a day, simple skirts and t-shirt hacks and bag making….. to start with.
The workshop, which seats 4 comfortably, is equipped with sewing machines, overlocks (serger) and other tools to make a variety of items including bags.
One-to-one and group sessions are available with Monique Chambers, a sewaholic and creator of the Indulge In Me line of women’s wear.
Baby showers can also be organised whereby groups are able to make mini kimonos and wrap jackets, to give a more personalised gift to the new addition.
