Vintage Treasures by Inspire, is situated on Level 2 of The Embassy Shopping Complex in Valletta and stocks fashion items, furniture, accessories and other items with a vintage flair.

All the items on sale are donated by the general public and proceeds from sales go directly towards Inspire’s disability programmes and services.

Vintage Treasures by Inspire, was inaugurated last Thursday, in the presence of fashion and vintage fans, Inspire clients, parents and staff.

Stylist & Image Consultant Marisa Grima, who officially opened Vintage Treasures by Inspire, said that “whilst one man’s trash might be another man’s treasure, shops such as this one are always of immense value to society, because the ultimate aim is to help those in need. The shop is full of very particular items that are hard to come by in high street shops. Any fashionista with a flair for vintage will love going through the many treasures and picking favourites to take home. That everything is so affordable and that the proceeds will go to Inspire is an additional cherry on a beautiful cake.”

“Inspire believes that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion and our mission is to try to help everyone with a disability achieve this,” said Mr. Antonello Gauci –Inspire’s CEO. “We do this by providing individuals and their families with educational, therapeutic and leisure services, by advocating for inclusion, educating the general public, and by raising awareness among peers. This is the sixth charity shop that

Inspire will now depend on to keep its operations running smoothly, subsidising its programmes heavily, and offering the many services to over 1000 individuals with various disabilities. We are very grateful to the Embassy Shopping Complex for their support.”

Inspire provides services to children and adults with disabilities such as Down syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other conditions. It needs to raise more than €3million a year to keep running – something which would not be possible were it not for the generosity of many supporters.
