We all know January can be January, just like Monday can be Monday and with the ongoing restrictions, is anyone even going anywhere? Well I don’t think you need to have an excuse for self care and pampering so here’s my fave things to do for a January glow!
Fake tan
Don’t underestimate the power of a golden glow in winter, trust me it can really improve your mood and help you feel good.
There are many fast working brands, I personally love st. Tropez for a fool proof application.
Just exfoliate before and moisturise your elbows, ankles, hands and face and apply with a mit from ankles up in a circular motion. Leave on for a few hours and you’ll look like you’ve been sunning yourself for a few weeks after you rinse it off!
Apply an oil free moisturiser to maintain and get longer results
Use subtle highlighter
Most of us love a good highlighter to finish off our makeup when we are off for a special night out but it’s so simple to achieve this at home too just to add a little pick me up to your skin.
I love using dr. Paw paw ointment or Vaseline to tap on my cheeks to give a natural light and glow to the skin.
Eyes,
It’s all about the eyes at the moment when it comes to makeup because there is absolutely no point in throwing on a perfect lip look!
Even if you don’t want a full on application, simply dapping a smidge of a pearly eye shadow on the inner corners will instantly brighten your peepers.
A shiny Maine
Its definitely the time of year when the locks are lacklustre so treat yourself to a nice hair mask to boost moisture levels and shine… better yet, if you are feeling adventurous, why not have a new hair cut or style.
Body scrubbing
Never underestimate the power of a good old body brushing to Get rid of dead dry skin and reveal a gorgeous smooth and glowing new layer!
I know it’s hard to be motivated to pay attention to otherwise unimportant things but I do believe (tried and tested) keeping somewhat of a normal routine keeps us happier and feeling better. So do whatever works for you to get that gorgeous glow.
