The first of Eden Culture’s many spectacular ballets is Spartacus, live and direct from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Showing exclusively at Eden Cinemas on Sunday 20th October at 17:00, the Russian masterpiece is both powerful and unique. Choreographed by Yuri Grigorovich, Spartacus is one of the choreographer’s most popular works and the Bolshoi’s flagship ballet.

The rebellion of gladiators and slaves led by Spartacus unfolds in a series of stunning scenes and epic battles. Also, the kindness, bravery and humanity within Spartacus become more apparent as the exhilarating story unfolds.
Filled with strong masculine energy, Grigorovich’s choreographic writing gives a unique power to this epic drama. A softer and more elegant repertoire is also featured during Spartacus and Phrygia’s duos.
Eden Cinemas continues to enhance the audiences’ experience through dimmed theatre lighting and amplified sound within one of the largest cinemas in Europe. Emblematic of the dance style during the Soviet era, Spartacus is sure to delight; with behind the scenes footage, just seconds before the dancers make their way on to the grand stage of the Bolshoi theatre. Eden Cinemas ensure a marvellous evening, whilst paying a fraction of that charged overseas for theatre tickets.
