If you are working from home and have to have regular zoom chats with your colleagues and like a bit of makeup but don’t want to make a fuss, the makeup below will ensure you a quick put together look that will only take you 5 minutes, promise!
Tinted moisturiser – instead of the full shebang, why not pour a couple of drops of your foundation in to your daily moisturiser. Its quick and simple and only takes a few seconds as the blend will be so much easier with the help of your moisturiser
Bronzer – warm up your skin by bronzing your cheeks, nose, forehead and chin and even blend a little over your eye-lids… it will look like you’ve made a big effort but really you’ve only used one product!
Blush – one of the best ways to look more awake, use a nice bright but soft blush to brighten up your complexion
Brow gel – if you don’t want the effort that is a defined brow, just brush some brow gel through and you’re instantly groomed
Lashes – mascara will instantly make you look more put together and if you really don’t want to do anything else, this step alone will give you definition and make your eyes look awake.
Lips – I’m loving using moisturizing tints on my lips at the moment because they’ve gotten so dry. The rosy Vaseline is great but also any lipstick mixed in with a bit of balm and you’re set! Who wants to worry about a perfect lip when you’re chatting away in a video conference?
Hair – I’m not an expert but I’m finding half blowdrying my locks and then loosely plaiting before bed, gives me a a nice wave in the morning… most of the time I’m rocking a top knot that’s weighing down on one side though!
If you simply want to look a bit more awake and don’t want to do any makeup while at home, my best tip would be to stay really really hydrated. You can also give your skin a “plump up” by massaging your face gently from the centre out, helping to drain toxins, then follow with light tapping motions on your face to really get the circulation going.
I hope this helps some of you, I never thought I’d be posting about tips for makeup during isolation but here we are!
Stay safe everyone!
