The Malta Concours d’Elegance & Garden Party, to be held on Tuesday 7th of June (a public holliday) at the Villa Bologna, is a celebration of the golden age of the automobile when travel was exciting and stylish.
A Concours d’Elegance is a worldwide tradition which began in the 1930s in France and Italy. Owners dressed up, exhibited their cherished automobiles, and the public gazed in admiration.
Over the years, these events changed from showing what were essentially brand new vehicles to displaying spectacular classic cars. The main events in the five continents now attract tens of thousands of visitors every year. And without exception, they are held in beautiful surroundings. The fabulous Villa Bologna in Attard, with its wonderful gardens, is the perfect setting.
Visitors will be able to feast their eyes on forty of Malta’s greatest classic cars, listen to live jazz, enjoy the freedom of exploring the formal gardens, and sip a glass of prosecco while socialising with friends and future acquaintances. Visitors are positively encouraged to dress up for the event. Period style attire from the 1930s to the 1960s will be especially welcome.
And to show how serious we are about this, we are offering a prize for the best dressed couple, in the form of a 100 euro voucher to eat at any of the Hilton’s restaurants. So, dress up and have fun at one of Malta’s foremost social events!
Tickets are now on sale at Ticketline.com.mt. We are limiting entrance to 500 visitors, so book now to avoid disappointment. For security reasons, we cannot admit children under the age of 12.
