Introduce yourself. I’m a French artist based in Malta. I paint and draw using the pictures of my trips. Animals have an important place in my surrealist pictures.
How did you get started? I started drawing and panting when I was at school, then I studied art in high school.
Whose artist’s work are you most inspired by? My inspiration comes from a lot of different places. I can be inspired by street art as much as naturalist drawings, Japanese prints or impressionism and symbolism.
Describe your work in less than 10 words. I try to give a surrealistic and colourful vision of the world.
Your favourite from among your own artworks? My favorite work is the one called “Heart travelling” which represents three swallowbirds holding a heart and carrying it through the sky.
Where was your first exhibition held?It was in a bar in the north of France.
What are you working on at the moment? I’m now painting a luzzu seen from under the water in a sea full of jellyfish.
How long have you been painting? I don’t know. I don’t remember my life without painting or drawing.
Are you a morning person or do you come alive at night? Before my daughter arrived, I used to paint at night! Things change.
How many coffees a day? Three.
Sundays can be very productive for some and very unproductive for others. How do you spend yours? With my family.
Wine and cheese. Yes or no? I’m French. Those two are almost a kind of religion for us!
If you were given a million euros, what would you indulge yourself with? I definitely want a studio where I can paint without limitations!
Favourite place to holiday? Somewhere by the ocean!
