Tickets for NYC’s legendary celebration of meat, drink, fire and music – which lands at Tobacco Docks on Saturday 7th September – have just gone on sale here.
They’ll sell out quickly, hence the timely heads up.
Described by New York Magazine as “a meat-lover’s paradise”, Meatopia – now regarded as the annual food event of choice for discerning carnivores in the Big Apple – promises to bring Londoners:
1. The very best, naturally-raised and locally-sourced meat.
2. Real fire (all of the meat’ll be cooked over either logs or hardwood charcoal).
3. The best artisan ales, fine wines and spirits.
Meatopia already appears to be a shoe in for the non-existant “London’s Best Summer BBQ” award. And this is mainly thanks to the fact that its 25 grills will be expertly manned by star chefs from meat meccas like Hawksmoor, Pitt Cue, St.John, Duck & Waffle, Barbecoa, The Franklin Barbecue in Texas, California’s Smoke and NYC’s Boqueria.
For those interested in vegetarian options, there are none.
In addition to the food and drinks there’ll be live bands and DJs; butchery demos and workshops; cabaret and art installations; street theatre, random acts of weirdness and “jaw-dropping” live performances… Wat to know more? click here
