New Season – New Makeup Look

Ok, I know we are still having summer temperatures in Malta but I can’t help long for “sweater weather” and the changes in fashion and beauty trends, plus any excuse to buy new makeup, right?

When I think of autumn, I visualise warm tones and stronger hues.

Here are my favourite ways to transition from summer to autumn:

The base
You don’t need to change your base up too much, unless you may meed to opt for a lighter shade if your tan is disappearing. It’s more about playing with different colour pallets to add on top of your base that will see you through a gorgeous autumnal look.

The lip
Possibly the easiest way to make a statement of season, is with your lip colour. Warm reds, berries and burgundy, as well as brown nudes, all scream autumn to me and are enough to really jazz up your makeup look.

The blush
Rosy tones are a great way to add a flush to the cheeks this time of year, think, i’ve just been out for a brisk walk type of look!
It’s also nice to switch out your bronzer for a warm shade you can lightly contour your cheeks with.

The eyes
In summer, I tend to be minimal with eye makeup but for autumn, there’s nothing more alluring than a smokey eye! Soft kohl pencils in rich browns, greys and blacks are fantastic for achieving a smouldering look. Top it off with a smudge of a complimenting eye shadow and you are set!

There are so many ways in which you can experiment with your look in the changing seasons, have fun with it!
