Open Works Lab collective, a newly established team of cultural practitioners that create multimedial performances, has launched its programme of events for the year 2015-2016. The performative storytelling approach of the collective invites different publics to come together to let their imagination run free.
The team, comprising dramaturg and academic Giuliana Fenech, composer and musician Renzo Spiteri, and cultural project manager Gaby Giacchino, takes audiences on a journey through storytelling, sound and digital technology.
The Open Works Lab programme of events can be found on their website www.OpenWorksLab.com. Their forthcoming event, ‘Alice in Absentia’, is a performative retelling of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, which is this year celebrating the 150th anniversary since its first publication. ‘Alice in Absentia’ is taking place at Spazju Kreattiv on the 11th – 13th December 2015 and is supported by the Malta Arts Fund, Transient Ltd. and The Dance Workshop.
