Paul Fenech-007Paul Fenech is a retired educator. His life has been dedicated to encouraging free expression across culture and mutual respect amongst different cultures.

How did you get started? Was unfortunate to be confined to bed for a few months and started to express myself painting with watercolours.

Whose artist’s work are you most inspired by? Ted Wessen

Describe your work in less than 10 words. Spontaneous, impulsive, generous, dynamic, seizing the moment and without inhibitions.

What genre do you consider your work to be? Impressionist

Your favourite from among your own artworks? The very last one I finish.

Where was your first exhibition held? Never exhibited on my own.

What are you working on at the moment? Painting the effect of light at dawn breaking in a valley in Mosta.

How long have you been painting? A little bit over two years.

Are you a morning person or do you come alive at night?Definitely an early morning one.

How many coffees a day?One and very good one.

Sundays can be very productive for some and very unproductive for others. How do you spend yours? 24/24 depending of those who need me most when they have free time.

Wine and cheese. Yes or no? Wine 100% NO, Cheese 100% YES

If you were given a million euros, what would you indulge yourself with? Hypothetical question that does not tax my mind at all. I know if this ever happens, I will become surrounded by experts, consultants, politicians and God knows who else who will come to advise me.

Favourite place to holiday? Qala in Gozo.
