Pierre Camille, hair stylist, fashion photographer, creative experimentalist, conceptual artist.
How did you get started?
I was thrown into the world of fashion through hairdressing as an apprentice with ton&guy, London, became a fashion/ beauty photographer by picking up a camera and experimenting with it and that’s how I work most of the time, hands on, if i like the concept then Iinvestigate.
Whose artist’s work are you most inspired by?
Lots of different artists inspire me, too many to mention.
Describe your work in less than 10 words.
At the moment, one word,conceptual.
What genre do you consider your work to be?
I have been working with conceptual ideas for the past year and translating them using whatever medium attracts my attention, Recently I have been using digital collage. People play an important part in my work so photographic portraiture is a recurring theme either as still life or manipulated.
Your favourite from among your own artworks/where was your first exhibition held?
My first and only exhibition of my work was held at St James Cavalier and my favourite is always what I’m working on at the moment.
What are you working on at the moment?
A photographic interpretation about service and two interior design projects.
Are you a morning person or do you come alive at night?
I’m more of a night person.
How many coffees a day? Don’t embellish.

Sundays can be very productive for some and very unproductive for others. How do you spend yours?
I do relax on Sundays but can also enjoy working if need be.

If you were given a million euros, what would you indulge yourself with?
To do up our new home and my own studio space.
