Quick Morning, Makeup Routine

Who has the time to faff for an hour doing makeup on a regular day?
I certainly don’t, but at the same time, I like to look somewhat presentable and like I’ve made a bit of an effort, especially for work.
Like anything, once you’re prepared and get a little routine in place, a daily makeup look is simple to get down to an art and not cost you much time in the morning.
Here are some tips for the best kind of makeup that will instantly make a difference without over complicating your routine.

Face:
We all love a gorgeous complexion so if you need a pick me up for your skin, you can have an instant result by using a foundation, BB cream or a mineral powder to even out your skin tone and create a base in no time.
I love a dewy look for the day, personally, I think it makes you look more awake, however this is my preference.

Eyes:
Most of my clients tell me that the eyes are the most difficult to get right but I honestly think we over think this step.
For something quick that makes it seem like you put effort in, I suggest going for a nice cream eyeshadow that you can put on in a flash with your fingers.
You can even use your favorite eyeliner in the same way by smudging all over the lid.
This easy technique is on trend and super sexy.

Blush:
Applying a bit of blush to the apples of the cheeks can really give you a gorgeous healthy appearance that’s quick and easy.
Tip: don’t apply your blush too low on the cheek as it can give off a drooping illusion.

Mascara… (side note: lash curlers will change your life)
I think most folk will agree that this is most likely the no.1 desert island makeup product.
The difference a mascara can make is amazing and probably the quickest most effective step that some people might even just go for.
So lash it on!

Lippy:
Whether you’re after a nice sheen or a full on matte pout, lips can be done in no time.
Choose a colour that you know you’re comfortable wearing and makes you feel good so that when you’re in a rush you’re not worried about how it looks.
Tip: make sure your smoochers are hydrated by using a nourishing lip balm

You can definitely get your “in a rush” look mastered in under ten minutes and another great way to do this, is by using  palletes. There are so many makeup brands now that stock mini kits and palletes that have a whole look in one.
Another trick I love to do is use my lipstick as my blush!
