The musical set for the evening of the 14th June is entitled ”Once upon a time….” It is based on the 1937 movie/musical called ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, which was added to the United States National Film Registry in 1939 to be ranked as one of the 100 greatest films on the American Film Institute’s list. Of interest to know is that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs became the first American film to have a soundtrack album!
Well-known songs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs include “Heigh-Ho”, “Some Day My Prince Will Come”, and “Whistle While You Work” which may feature in this musical. Soloists and Chorus members of the Malta Opera Company shall perform at this yearly fundraising event. The Mood Swing Singers (Barber Shop), supporting vocal group for this fundraiser, shall also present many beautiful and popular songs for your enjoyment. Performance starts at 20.00hrs and bookings are recommended.
Price/Donation per ticket is €25.00 per person. Finger foods are generously being sponsored by Villa Arrigo (Osborne), while wines are being supplied by Noel Arrigo & Sons.
A raffle with some great prizes shall be held immediately following the concert.
