You read right – and they are so easy and quick I am actually making a batch as I type.
For 6 doughnuts, you will need:
a quarter head of cauliflower
9 slices of GF salami
a cup of grated cheese – whatever melts well (gouda, parmesan, cheddar….)
the killer ingredient is M&S Black Treacle & Porter Ale Sauce Marinade
Put the oven on at 180 C.
Cut the florets off the cauliflower and grate (you can use a food processor). The result will be the latest food fad, ‘cauliflower rice’.
Add this to the 6 beaten eggs. Cut the salami into small pieces and add this to the mix. Then add the cheese and a good dollop of the M&S Black Treacle & Porter Ale Sauce. Stir well and ladle into a doughnut pan / muffin tray.
Bake for about 20 minutes and voila! You have gluten free sausage doughnuts. Light, fluffy and stupidly delicious!
