The buzz term of the cosmetic industry over the past few years has definitely been K-Beauty, and rightfully so!
South Korea is known world wide as the most innovative when it comes to skin care, highlighting that we need to maintain good skin care through modern science and protect our skin, rather than just mask it with makeup.
There are many brands you’ve probably heard of that are heavily influenced by K-Beauty.
One such brand that has been making waves lately, using the latest in innovative skin care through science and top ingredients is Seoulista … They specialise in sheet masks for loads of skin conditions to ultimately give you an “instant facial”
They also have priming masks, hand masks and even foot masks!
We hear time and time again that applying a mask once a week has amazing benefits for the skin and should ideally be in our routines at least once a week. Being honest, traditional masks can be a bit of a faff to get on and off though and ultimately more time consuming than they need to be, when all you you want to do is sit back and relax a for a few minutes. Sheet masks have been doing the rounds for a few years now and I have always questioned the efficacy of them. I recently tried the Seoulista ones and I REALLY felt like I had a facial after… they are so easy to put on and are fully loaded and soaked with beneficial ingredients, as well as being vegan and 100% biodegradable.
You get so much product on one mask that there’s enough to use on your neck and hands – just have a little rest for 20 min and let it all soak in and do the job!
I tried the Super Hydration Mask which is “intensely hydrating” “rich in antioxidants” and “improves skins elasticity, smoothness and radiance” and the Brightening Mask which “Exfoliates and hydrated the skin” “contains antioxidants to repair and fade dark circles, spots and pigmentation” and “corrects and Briton’s skin tone” I was equally impressed by both so cannot wait to stock up on some more!
The immediate glow effect is just beautiful and if you wait 30min before you apply your makeup, it will glide on seamlessly and look extra beautiful on your skin… you’ll want to do one everyday!
I am going to try the priming one next!
You can find SeoulSistas sheet masks from many online retailers and there instagram handle is @seoulista_beauty where they consistently post useful information and tips about there products and stockists.
Tip: bring one on the plane with you to pop on mid flight to keep your skin hydrated.
Last time I travelled, my son dropped a piece of bread on the floor and when I picked it up later, it wasn’t dry… it was toast! I was shocked.
My lips were also chapped and sore so I’ll definitely be keeping this in mind for next time because I knew planes could be dehydrating but didn’t realise how much until my sons little accidental experiment!
