The Wildfoods Festival is preparing its menu for the 20,000 visitors who come for fayre such as deep fried locusts, huhu grubs pickled and BBQ’d, beetles and grasshoppers on the 9th of March in Hokitika, New Zealand. From the freshwater streams and lakes, BBQ’d pukeko, gamebird salami, smoked trout and salmon will be offered alongside venison, wild boar and mutton birds are all jostling for space at the festival awaiting your inquisitive tastebuds and rumbling tummies.
