Austrian crystal glass makers Riedel have taken the design of these wine glasses to a totally new level. Yet one has to experience this with the help of an expert to truly appreciate the value of this claim.
For 11 generations, the Riedel family have made crystal glasses. Their 250-year success story began in 1673 when Johann Christoph Riedel was born in the Bohemian town of Neuschloss. The current generation is represented by Riedel Glass head Georg J. Riedel and his son Maximillian.
Grech Catering Supplies, local agents for Riedel, are hosting a special Riedel Masterclass for the public, to be conducted by Riedel Vice-President, Marco Baldini, on Wednesday, 22 October, 2014, in the Ballroom of Le Méridien Hotel & Spa, St Julian’s. The event starts at 6.30 p.m. with the tasting starting at 7 p.m. sharp.
