Let’s face it, when adults go to panto, they always look forward to the political jokes, the subtle local references and the not-so-subtle naughty jokes that fly over the heads of the youngsters.
What if this Christmas there was a show that had just that? Introducing The Comedy Knights. This December, six of Malta’s hottest comedic actors and a stable of writers will present an evening of satire and topical humour in Malta’s first Christmas comedy sketch show: The Christmas Comedy Cavalcade!
None of the usual messing around shoe-horning Aladdin (or whatever) into a never-ending story for the amusement of the kids, this sketch show is a laugh-a-minute series of all-original scenes and songs guaranteed to bring big laughs at the expense of local politicians, companies and personalities.
The Comedy Knights is an all-star line up with Chris Dingli, Colin Fitz, Pia Zammit, Steve Hili, Jo Caruana and Marc Cabourdin, directed by Wesley Ellul. Expect huge laughs, local references and weeks of giggling to yourself afterwards as you recall a line or two from the show.
If you liked Dingle Bells Malcolm Smells or My First Time, you’ll love this. Tickets include free parking and start from only €10. The show runs from 26-30 December at the newly restored Teatru Salesjan. Shows are in English and tickets are available from ticketline.com.mt. Seating is limited, so get yours now.
