Broadcast live from London’s Royal Opera House on Tuesday 16th December at 8:15pm is Christopher Wheeldon full length ballet, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland! Based on Lewis Carroll’s much loved children’s classic, the production has been transformed into an exquisite ballet which includes that same charm loved by both children and adults in the original story.
Together with the help of composer Joby Talbot and designer Bob Crowley, the ballet is a brilliant realisation of Carroll’s zany dream world, featuring stunning choreography, a colourful score and ingenious stage magic.
Wheeldon’s charming ballet features Carroll’s infamous characters, from the tap-dancing Mad Hatter and the tetchy White Rabbit, to the raucously bad tempered Queen of Hearts and of course, everyone’s favourite, Alice. These delightful characters are sure to light up the stage of the Royal Opera House, whilst bringing an element of fun and quirkiness throughout.
Ensuring a most memorable evening, Eden Cinemas continue to enhance this unique experience through the use of dimmed lighting and amplified sound in its multipurpose theatre. Such features provide a sense of authenticity, as though watching the production from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Guarantying to be a truly magical performance, the audience pays just a fraction of that charged overseas for theatre tickets.
Tickets for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland are priced at €23 and a mere €10 for children aged 16 and under. A complimentary glass of wine will also be offered, together with complimentary parking and a 25% discount at Waterbiscuit upon presentation of a ticket.
