As part of this campaign Melita TV has launched a new HD set-top-box called ‘digiBox HD’ which offers customers the chance to watch Digital and High Definition TV channels. The service is available on a standalone basis and there is no need to subscribe to other Melita services.

“The FIFA World Cup is a much-awaited event in Malta and showcases some of the best football in the world. It is also a great TV event and there’s nothing better than watching some of the world’s best football players at their best in stunning High Definition. The new digiBox HD also gives us the opportunity to make HD more widely available to the Maltese market, especially with the launch of TVM HD and TVM 2 HD”, commented Michael Darmanin, Melita’s Director of Marketing.

When subscribing to the digiBox HD service the Melita TV packages start from €9.99 per month and the HD access is free for two years. The ‘M’ entry package includes TVM HD and TVM 2 HD as well as 45 digital TV channels and more than 60 radio and digital music channels. A one-time-fee for the DigiBox HD of €50 applies. Customers opting for the TV L or TV XL packages get access to many more channels, more HD content as well as free use of the digiBox HD.
