Halloween is getting a glamorous 1920s twist this year as Palazzo Falson in Mdina invites visitors to step back in time for an evening of mystery, intrigue and a little detective work.
On Friday 30 October, the historic house museum will transform into the setting for an interactive whodunnit, inspired by the extravagant parties once hosted by Olof Gollcher and the Confraternita della Pipa.
Combining the atmosphere of one of Mdina’s most fascinating historic buildings with the excitement of solving a mystery, the event promises an entertaining evening for families and friends. Participants will need to put their powers of observation, teamwork and deduction to the test as they work together to unravel the story.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion, whether in spooky Halloween costumes or glamorous outfits inspired by the Roaring Twenties. Think flapper dresses, feathers, pearls, sharp suits and a touch of old-fashioned intrigue.
The experience is suitable for children aged six and over, making it an alternative to traditional Halloween celebrations.
The first group will enter Palazzo Falson at 6pm, with subsequent groups admitted at 10-minute intervals. Entry times will be confirmed when booking.
Tickets cost €12 per person, €10 for Palazzo Falson members or €50 for a group of six.
Places are limited and advance booking is essential. Reservations and payment must be completed by 2pm on Thursday 29 October by emailing bookings@palazzofalson.com.
Tickets are non-refundable.
So, gather your fellow detectives, dress to impress and prepare for a Halloween evening where the biggest question isn’t who is hiding behind the mask, but whodunnit.
